A Conversation with Sir Christopher Meyer: From the Twin Towers to the Taliban: Afghanistan: The “Good War'“ that Turned Bad

Sir Christopher John Rome Meyer, KCMG, is a British diplomat who served as the British Ambassador to the United States (1997–2003), Ambassador to Germany (1997) and Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission (2003–2009). He is married to Catherine Meyer, Baroness Meyer, founder of the charity Parents & Abducted Children Together (PACT), who serves on the board of the Transatlantic Forum for Education and Diplomacy.

Since retiring from the Foreign Service, Sir Christopher has run his own consultancy firm, published three books, and made several documentaries for television and radio, notably the 6-part Networks of Power for Sky Atlantic and, in addition, the BBC television series Getting Our Way, which chronicles episodes from British diplomatic history over the last 500 years.
