    PROJECT DIRECTOR

    Dr. Leinbaugh serves as the President of TFED. TFED Aelfric Scriptorium Project was born out of his interest in Old English Studies and built upon his dissertation work at Oxford and Harvard.

    PROJECT MANAGER

    M.S. in Library Science; B.A. in English Literature

    Hunter Corb serves as project manager of the TFED Aelfric Scriptorium Project, working to create digital editions of Aelfric’s oeuvre and related texts. A graduate of the UNC-SILS graduate program, Hunter specialized in rare books and manuscripts, with a particular focus in early modern book history, early printing, and descriptive bibliography. His graduate work focused on a social network analysis of the book trade in Revolutionary England, his first foray into the world of digital humanities. Since then, Hunter has participated in a digital editing conference at the Beinecke Library at Yale University, given talks at Kalamazoo on digital pedagogy, and participating in information retrieval and paleography conferences at the Folger Shakespeare Library. Hunter is currently employed as a Consignment Specialist of Rare Books at Heritage Auctions in Dallas, TX.

    PROJECT CONSULTANT

    Jake graduated from the University of North Carolina with a BA in Linguistics. With a background in IT, Jake consults on the technical side of the project.

    TFED LIAISON

    Megan McCorkle is the Program Director of the Transatlantic Forum for Education and Diplomacy. She acts as the liaison between the digital humanities project and the larger TFED organization.

    Sarah Bulgar

    XML ASSISTANT PROGRAMMER

    M.S. Library Science, Archives and Records Management; B.A. Art History

    Sarah Bulger graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a master’s in library science with concentration in Archives and Records Management. Originally from Virginia, Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Old Dominion University, where she focused her research on textile arts and material cultures of medieval Europe. This research worked to inform her master’s thesis deconstructing the language used in online extremist discourse to discuss the many myths about Medieval Europe perpetuated online. Sarah brings to the team her interest in the maintenance and dissemination of records and information, and a deep appreciation of medieval art and history.

  • Elise Daly

    TASP PROJECT CONSULTANT

    Graduate of UNC Coding Boot Camp; B.S. Equine Studies: Equine Science

    Elise Daly worked as a veterinary assistant for several years after graduating from the University of New Hampshire, but always maintained strong interests in linguistics and technology. Aftering completing UNC's Coding Boot Camp, Elise sought roles in the IT field and began assisting the TFED Aelfric Scriptorium Project with customizations to the EVT platform and manuscript encoding. Elise is employed as a Product Operations Manager at The Princeton Review, and in her free time builds modifications for various video games.

  • Eve Svobada

    XML ASSISTANT PROGRAMMER

    George Washington University, BA in Classical Studies and Art History, 2019; University of Pennsylvania, Post-Baccalaureate in Classical Languages, 2020

    Eve is entering her final year of graduate study at UNC Chapel Hill, working towards a dual MA in art history and library science with a concentration in archives and records management, and a graduate certificate in digital humanities. Eve’s background in classics allows her to work mainly on the humanities side of the project, aiding with transcription and XML markup.
